Travel Tech: Method of Low Cost Travel in Japan

I introduce travel method for the most cheap cost in Japan around if you like slow cheap trip.

Over the sea

First you have to over the sea by ship or airplane.  Because Japan is island.

I have two plan of reach to Japan.

1. Use MU(China Eastern Airline)

China eastern airline have most reasonable price from around Shanghai to Japan now. You can check the price and info at direct MU website. 

For example, Delhi, India to Fukuoka, Japan aprox. USD 550 round trip including any charge. But fix only. You can not change arrival and departure date.

2. Use ferry from China to Japan

 If you can come to Shanghai or Qingdao by hitchhike or bicycle, better to use China to Japan ferry. From Shanghai to Osaka (Su Zhou Hao) and from Qingdao to Shimonoseki (Orient Ferry) is better. 

Orient ferry needs one way aprox USD 176 cheaper class recently.

Transport

Japan has turned to the bicycle trip very much. All roads are paved smoothly. The large sidewalk is improved in the trunk road. The bikeway is made by the bicycle boom these days. Since Japan is large, the ups and downs of inland are intense. However, a great thing does not have the highest altitude at 3700 meters. I want you to enjoy the beautiful Japanese mountains who got wet. A local side of Japan is dotted with many campsites. It is better to bring a lightweight tent by all means, if you do a cheaper trip in Japan. If you do not have a bicycle, I will recommend hitchhike. Japan is easiest country for hitchhike. I was always doing hitchhike in the service area(parking area) of the highway. The hitchhike in a local road will get used on good terms with Japanese people. The hitchhike in Japan is lawful.

This is an Abou peak which is a border between prefectures in Gifu Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture. Altitude is 1790 m. The No. 158 line which escapes from between an Akandana mountain and Abou mountains. I wanted to see the Alps, Japan, after which it was yearning from already. Since I was poor at mountain climbing, I reached to the place which can go by car. The road in Nagano had poor pavement and its run was severe. I expected the beauty of the Alps. But, the Akandana mountain was a very big active volcano. It was the far devastated mountain that it is beautiful. The rock had exposed the surface of a mountain. Trees were felled by the landslide. Steam had blown and come out from the everywhere of a mountain. It seemed to be hell. We were surprised at the signboard written to be explosion cautions. Soon, it came to the Abou road of the charged tunnel. But, we climbed the Abou peak which is an old road. That is because I wanted to enjoy a mountain fully. The Abou peak had steep slope uphill and hairpin curve. The infernal scene disappeared gradually. The mountain range on which the snow which does not disappear in the distance was put could be seen. When the summit of the mountain of the peak was crossed and it went into Gifu Prefecture, scenes completely differed. It is this photograph. The scene of the Japan Alps which I expected was this.

We went to the usual hot spring from midnight. The typhoon was approaching Kyushu on that day. Therefore, it was raining heavily. It seems that many animals live in the mountain in Kyushu. I run a path through a wood by car, in order to go in the center in Kyushu. Then, some animals are certainly encountered. Hikosan located in the boundary in Fukuoka Prefecture and Oita Prefecture has many deer. We passed along a ravine called Yabakei on the way to Oguni in Kumamoto Prefecture. It is always wrapped in humidity and fog the night of Yabakei. We were running the path through a wood slowly, in order to look for an animal. Then, the big frog was discovered in the center of a road. It was a toad whose length is 20 cm. The body of the toad had a countless projection. I like a toad better than a bullfrog. A substance called SENSO is secreted from their body. A track runs this way fast. Therefore, I thought that it would get off a car and I would move a toad. Even if it pushed the toad at the point of shoes, it did not escape. When pushed several times, he walked slowly at last and it went to the side of the way. We left the spot. However, the toad was anxious...

The upper photograph was taken in the way back. The place is a village called Nakatsue. From a big bridge top. The mountain which clouds covered, and the river which became intense with rain. It is regrettable that the grandeur is not told from a photograph. I think this place is not added by human hand.

Today's Foto "September 7th 2011"

The continuation from last time. We left Yabakei and went in the direction of Kumamoto Airport from twilight at night. It is because a very nice hotel is near Kumamoto Airport. We enjoyed the meal in the hotel fully and checked out at noon of the next day. We went to the Aso milk farm visited before. This photograph was taken in a sightseeing spot called Takachiho gorge in Miyazaki.

Today's Foto "September 6th 2011"

We left towards south before sunset so that we may go to Aso in Kumamoto Prefecture. A photograph is a photograph of a ravine called Yabakei. This area is abundant in humidity and moss and a forest are rich sightseeing spots. A mountain changes to yellow or red with autumnal leaves in autumn. Yabakei is large and this photograph is famous for the tunnel Buddhism monk dug by hand wich called Aonodomon. The Buddhist priest's name is Zenkai. A Buddhist temple famous in Kyushu is near the Yabakei. The name is Rakanji. In the 1700s, Zenkai was traveling in each part of Japan. This area was visited in the trip. In this difficult part with a precipitous cliff, it was the dangerous way where the chain was attached to the slope of a mountain at that time. On the way, the passerby was often seen fall and die. Zenkai saved funds by religious mendicancy in order to make a safe way, and it dug the tunnel over 30 years. However, a Buddhist's Zenkai is the legend of having collected the toll of the completed tunnel.

This is Airchina's economy cabin. Air China using boeing and airbus. In six seats, the airplane that we had taken was small Boeing. The price of the flight was about 70,000 yen a person from Fukuoka to Kathmandu. However, it is a fault that there are a lot of transit. The total 4 times transit having this flight. It was Fukuoka - Shanghai - Chengdu - Lhasa - Kathmandu. The check of the customhouse and Immigration Bureau was necessary in all airports. The entrusted luggage did not become it when not receiving it in each airport.

Today's Foto "Yamaguchi Cruise"

This time's Today 's Foto is a photograph when we drive Yamaguchi Prefecture. We obtained information to which the reggae musician in Japan named Yohei Miyake will live show in West Japan. We were fixed for hotel reservations to the town named Tokuyama. However, he postponed a live show. We faced the hotel where the cancel charge was reluctantly generated. It arrived at Tokuyama in about two and a half hours running in the raining highway of the night.
