Flyer and Poster Design: FUTARO Acoustic Live at Cotton Dancer

This is my latest Flyer and Poster design works. Size is A3 and A6, printed to the natural paper and cardboard paper printed by RISOGRAPH. The coloring is the fluorescence orange and the navy to the A3 poster, and the vermilion and navy to the A6 flyer. Imaged from the late 1960's Psychedelic posters and the modern old school Reggae and Dub posters, the album cover artworks and the flyers. The top's logo is the original style of handwriting which I processed and was designed. It is written as the FUTARO with the Japanese Chinese character. This Chinese character was simplified from the formal style of handwriting. And I am future-like a figure and gave the worn-out feeling by aging to this character. Since it is printed by RISOGRAPH, printing is reproduced by multiplication with glassiness. Therefore, the portion with which the color has overlapped was transparent and the back color has overlapped. I traced and drew his photograph whose illustration of an artist is a performer by the AI. FUTARO which is a performer is the Folk-Rock musician. I drew the fender tele caster's neck which he has always used regularly. The following is his profile.

 Futaro’s messages in his lyrics permeates in to changing the clock hand into slow flow with the beat over the music divide with warm ambient. He encourages gently people who live the time made closely packed. And the heart of the rich susceptibility sometimes throws social various inconsistencies and questions into relief, and tells the tragedy which man's ego produced. Just like a Bob Marley...

Flyer Design: Rock'n'Roll and Jump Blues Record Hop with Live Show!!

I designed this flier 14 years ago. It was the 6th anniversary party held with the restaurant & bar "King Kong" located in the shopping center in Kurosaki, Yahata-nishi-ku, Kitakyushu-City, Fukuoka. My friend was managing the restaurant & bar. I was taking charge of the advertising matter as a designer of his store under exclusive contract. I made many parties and calendars which he sponsors. My friend also owner of "King Kong" loves Rock'n'Roll and Jump Blues. I came out and came back to the trip where it wanders about Asia, 14 years ago. Calcutta in India bore a close resemblance to Britain of the 1950s. People's life, an attitude, and the vigor have just experienced the United States of the 1950s. It seemed that time travel was carried out just like a movie "Back to the future." And I imagined "Enchantment Under the Sea Dance" of the movie "Back to the Future", and this flyer designed it. Record hop and a live show are roaring business, and business had not declined yet in the local side after the collapse of the 'bubble' economy. In the floor, the young man danced Strohl (revue dance performed in a line of a female subject), Bop, Twist, and the jive which symbolize the 1950s, and got drunk wholly with the free drink.

Flyer Design: GAOWN Dance Hall Reggae Party

I designed new party flyer. Title logo using "KANJI" the Japanese character from Chinese character. Crocodile illustration print the fluorescence orange like a silk screen print. It is because it printed on natural paper that a background is a natural color. The wave illustration in the mouth of an alligator is the handwriting by pen using Adobe Illustrator. the bubble dot also handwritten. This was quoted from the flyer currently used by the dance hall reggae of the 1990s.



Also I made English version, but client liked the Chinese character. The English version which seems to be lovely is introduced here. Though it was regrettable, the poster of A3 size which I proposed was dismissed on t problem of a client's budget.  This flyer only for postcard.

Order Flyer "VINYL PASSION 3"

This is order flyer of the poptoonstudio created newly. A theme is black parson plays groove. The image of a 7-inch vinyl board has been arranged in the center. The logo imaged from 1970's Rock as classical and bold. Font  arranged from Letter Head Font's Boston Truck Style. I processed the curl part of this Boston Truck Style. "WILD WAX presents" and "for Dope Musik Lover ..." The font of used Copperplate Gothic. This flyer made from yellow and black 2 colors.
The client left all the designs to me. I was able to do work smoothly. It will succeed, if you want to change a hairstyle, and all are left to the hair designer having good sense.

Framed "Big Frog" Poster

This is a poster of the Kyushu tour of band called Big Frog. Although a Big Frog is a jam band representing Japan, it is not working now. In Japan, it was a jam band which makes it bear a close resemblance to Grateful Dead uniquely. Since it was female vocal, there was much light and pleasant music. The Big Frog was the style which took in many countries, bluegrass, rock'n'roll, and blues. Performances of a Big Frog was given even in the United States. Big Frog Official Biography
Big Frog emerged on the Tokyo music scene in 1996. From the get-go, they crafted infectiously psychedelic grooves with the ability to cross over into multiple genres. Their penchant for long, improvisational jams brought something previously unseen to the Japanese music world. Their high-energy 2-set shows were constantly evolving and always unique. It didn’t take long for the freaks to start melting out of the woodwork and into the clubs to partake in these events, known as bleshings…And thus were born the BFH (Big Frog Heads). In recent years, prominent bands in the American jam scene have started recognizing Japan as a new frontier. Big Frog and their growing fan base have helped pave the way for some of these bands looking to make their mark in Japan. They’ve shared the stage with several such bands and have occasionally appeared as the opening act for bands such as Phish and Moe.. In 2000, Big Frog ventured away from Japan to play a short U.S. tour. They have since enjoyed several other stints in Europe and the states. In 2005, they played Moe.down, and were invited to engage in a band switch during one of Moe.’s sets. The band has undergone a few personnel changes over the years, and its musical style is in a perpetual state of metamorphosis. The current line-up features Sato on acoustic guitar / lead vocals, Ton on drums / sampling / vocals, Shimi on bass / vocals and Moccos on guitar / vocals. The band’s sound has evolved into straight-up rock-n-roll infused with elements from the frenetic energy of Tokyo surrounding them…A sort of hyper-hybrid Tokyo rock, if you will. Their repertoire touches on a myriad of themes, and the bulk of their songs are sung in English. Big Frog spends a great deal of its time touring throughout Japan, from remote backwaters to the big cities, and it’s not uncommon for the band to be on the road for months at a time. BIG FROG Kyushu Tour Poster

BIG FROG was JAM band that represented Japan. The design of this flier and the poster is the one before BIG FROG dissolves to Kyushu when coming to a live tour. BIG FROG at that time sold clothes etc. of the hemp material by live opening the doors with apparel brand THC(Tokyo Hemp Connection).

The BIG FROG robot is controlled by the guitar, the drum, and the song. They came from Tokyo from the missile and the attack to Kyushu defense from the terrorist state. The centere side of the cockpit is equipped with the speaker of 5000W by the stereo, and a jammin' groovy sound wraps Kyushu.
The BIG FROG robot is a mechanism (crimsoning of eyes when the missile is smoked, the flows of the liquid that contains the bufotenine from the back of eyes, and going out).
It became it so when aiming at a psychedelic poster like Wes Wilson. TIPI was put up in a live place in Kyushu various places (Fukuoka, Aso, and Kagoshima).

The TRAVELLERS Live Poster

This is a Jump Blues Band "The Travellers" Live poster. Last 2007, Live party at my friends cafe "CHEKA". The Travelers is famous as the jump blues band in Japan.

KING KONG DINER 2008 Calender

In this design is a calendar of "King Kong dinner" in 2008 of the shop of the hamburger boast. The reason for the owner in this dinner is that it likes jazz, jump blues, and rock'n'roll in becoming jazzy finish. Everything is made by the illustrator.

GUITAR PANDA live at ASTROLOUNGE Poster and Flyer

This is fyer(A5 size) and poster(A3 size) design of GUITAR PANDA acoustic live at ASTROLOUNGE Cafe and Designs last April 2010. This freehand illustration use only pen tool of Adobe Illustrator.

This poster uses a special print. Ink is fluorescence orange and a black. Paper is thin, and a natural color that has not been bleached. You can see the fiber of paper. Its organic and recycling.

This poster still has the stock. If you want this poster, I can send it. Because weight is light even if it is far from Japan, such a carriage might be not high. However, the crease and the wrinkle will be anxious. It packs it with $10 as a packing fee in the corrugated cardboard and the Ziploc besides the carriage at that time.

Dr. Tosh? "Vaga! Raga!" Out Flyer

This is a poster for the sales promotion such as Tower Record by the release of the solo album "Vaga!Raga!(Existence "Vaga" that exceeds all border, with earthling it, with traveller of MARKARBAR. "Raga" is an ultimate balance that exceeds the balance, with MANDARA)" of Toshimitsu Nagai ex. bassist BO GUMBOS.
"Vaga Raga" is a key word in the future to coexist, to resonate, to resonate, and to give birth to big Harmony. Dr.TOSH? is festa man who keeps always turning over the page.
