Flyer Design: Minami Masato Live at Cotton Dancer

This is my latest flyer design work for the Bar Cotton Dancer. I love the silk screen poster of a psychedelic movement which was in fashion late in the 60s. And I also like the propaganda poster of a communist country. By using the ink of the fluorescent color which employed the characteristic of the silk screen print efficiently, the psychedelic poster has heightened the eye catch effect. A psychedelic poster carries out the visualization of the hallucination by LSD, takes LSD, and can appreciate an art like a kaleidoscope like the mandala. The vision effect by LSD will not be acquired so much, since I created this flyer without taking LSD. Since I did not have the cost which makes a silk screen, I decided to utilize Risograph. Risograph is the printing machine which a Riso company made in Japan. It can print in a high speed, budget prices, and the special color like a laser beam printer. Risograph can use fluorescence pink and a fluorescence orange. Riding of ink is bad like Toppan Printing, and a photograph has the noise blurred like a newspaper. Since I had arranged the photograph of a deep color at the back, the color on the back was transparent and the surface logo portion failed in me. Paper is using the bad thin paper of quality like recycled paper, and became the result which has the flavor of tactile feeling coarsely in the bottom. Since it brews the feeling which is completely different from the printed matter of offset printing in a general coated paper in the present age, it becomes a good eye catch.

About Minami Masato
Masato Minami is an artist representing Japan of Folk-Rock. He reached 70 years old in born one in 1944. He is the keyman who visited America before the psychedelic movement and inherited the hippie culture to Japan. He is a singer whom the scenery that perform many live in Japan or Thailand and children are playing out in the fields under the tree suits very well. I am looking at his live from ten years or more before. "Niji no Misaki Matsuri" performed in Aso looked at his live first. I have appreciated his live at the festival since then every year, and was allowed to soften a feeling very much.

It was astonished and amazed by me! It is that the car of such ideal HOT ROD and RAT ROD existed!
The strike of this form and style, and the brilliant aging was carried out to my heart. Probably this all-terrain vehicle will be a Japanese-made engine, body, and design. A finely rusty exhaust muffler like the convoy straight extended toward empty has a charming feature like a chimney. I was driven by the impulse which wants to travel in the country road in Laos which is not paved slowly ranging over this farm tractor. Are wearing the straw hat torn in drops, and the beard extended for a long time becomes pure white, and uses the long sleeve of the hemp cloth of a Henley neck as an underwear, Wearing the light-blue overalls of Karheart to which the paint adhered, of course, or the hickory overalls of Lee, probably, the rain boots of favorite Columbia are dirty with mud. A tent and an antique kitchen utensil are put on a trailer, and it travels in the ground of a frontier district in search of a place at death. I visualized such a figure and was able to be immersed in a fortunate feeling.

If it is a tread of this tire, what kind of rain falls and it will be able to run also on the bad unpaved way of a state. I have experience it became impossible to escape from the parking lot of an outdoor festival by a small car repeatedly. Truly, since it is troublesome, it cannot go all over a town, but it is an automobile very attractive to the middle age which piled up age.

Pasar Moon Festival

We visited open air festival of the PASAR MOON Guest House in Misumi Beach, Hamada City, Shimane, Japan. This festival was organized by my friend Marron. It was so good music live performance, visual decorating works, location and situation. We stayed 3 days but festival had 1 week. We carried tarp, tent, table, chair, bike and driftwood on the small car and 3.5 hour drive from Kitakyushu. It was became down the temp 22 degrees into Chugoku mountain path the Yamaguchi City because midnight. We arrived at Misumi area before sunrise. We got good sea view camping area outside of the festival entrance. I'm so tired because tent and tarp building does not sleep. Already few stuff living here with building party. Few wild people were get up and walk around  the sea. We could not sleep because strong sunshine also temp going up. I got into the sea early morning. The water is very clear but little bit big wave. There have 200 yen per 2 min hot water shower. 

Fishing Report: Tonogawa Water Reservoir

I arrived in Tonogawa reservoir at 3PM. Tonogawa reservoir is exists in Kanda, Miyakogun, Fukuoka, Japan also close to Kitakyushu airport. Japanese Buddhist temple "So-enji" exists over the dam side in this Tonogawa reservoir. So-enji have 277cm Buddha statue made from Heian period about 1200years before. That Buddha statue is भैषज्यगुरु Bhaisajyaguru.

I was walking and fishing at around Ima river  in Yukuhashi, Kitakyushu City. The temperature is about 20 degrease on 4 to 5PM. This pic is the watergate for the plant field.

We were visited traditional Japanese old simply house called from our friend. This place name is Moji word in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka prefecture. It's close to Shimonoseki. The most close place in Kyushu island to main island of Japan. This place have still many simplicity old wooden house. We like also loving these shabby chic cottage and old downtown. Because simply life having shanti. I introduce this shanti place right now!!

The YAMANI SOY SAUCE
This hand painted sign is famous and popular soy sauce brand in Kitakyushu City. The name is YAMANI. It's more sweet than Tokyo soy sauce. My friend told me "You know son of this YAMANI soy sauce company". We were surprised it. We will become good customer of this YAMANI soy sauce. Also I like this signs graphic!! This is very old typography in Japan. This bold type made by EDO period about 300years before. This type looks like a Tachibana-Ryu in the EDOMOJI inspired from Kantei-Ryu. But Tachibana-Ryu don't have like this punk edge. This type is maybe originally inspired from EDOMOJI. Also I like this pink and red coloring. This YAMANI company born in 1915. I think nobody never seen like this coloring in this TAISHO period. This door is warehouse of YAMANI company factory. Produce factory were place in backside of this warehouse. You can see this YAMANI soy sauce in any market or store in Kitakyushu City and around City.

Block Copy: an American Diner's Lunch Menu

This is the lunch menu of an American diner which I operated. It finished in the style of a vintage with the title menu which uses the script font of the 1950s. A background emphasizes a high-class feeling in deep brown. The photograph of hamburger sandwiches is close photographed with a zoom lens. The both-sides side was irradiated with the stroboscope flash. Three cooking photographs on the back had a weak light. The logo design of beer was introduced last time. The client offered the menu, the explanatory note of cooking, and the dish. The price of the charge of photography is 1,000 yen per piece. It becomes 8,000 yen the charge of photography with eight photographs. The size of this menu is B4. The charge of design composition work changes to 10000 yen per one side in such volume. This charge is 28000 yen in the charge of block-copy creation, and photography cost. Separately, 3,000 yen was required of printing cost and lamination cost (six-set creation).

Today's Foto "Local Buzen Seaside Walk Around"

Last day, I was walk around Buzen seaside local place in Fukuoka and Oita prefecture border line. These photo taken by iPhone 5 camera. It was waiting time why I visiting this area. People are very kindness and slowly. Also times going slowly. I was parking my car close to meeting point. Temperature was 11degrees. Time was noon time. Not cloudy. It was so much to sleep. But it was very wasteful for sleep. I tried take crow photo use my telescope. But it was not so good. I wore the down jacket and went outside.

Trees Hanging Rocks!! Amazing Mt.Hiko

We went to Mount Hiko located in the border between prefectures in Oita Prefecture and Fukuoka Prefecture.

The Mt. Nuki Trek with The Bike

We live in the foot in Mt. Nuki. Mt. Nuki is a high mountain representing Kokura-minami-ku. It is 712 m in altitude. The form of Mt. Nuki has the shape of a beautiful cone like Mt. Fuji. Mt. Nuki is connected with Hiraodai. Hiraodai is a karst plateau famous for Kitakyushu written by front post of this blog. To Hiraodai of the quality of a limestone, Mt. Nuki is quality of a granite and the origins completely differ. It is said that Mt. Nuki carried out sedimentary intrusion by volcanic activity, and the fossil of the sea medium maturing thing in the limestone of Hiraodai has dissolved by the heat conversion after the Hirao stand is generated. It is contrastive with Akiyoshidai of the Yamaguchi prefecture producing many fossils. The Edo period and this area were called Kiku. Since Japanese people liked Mt. Fuji, they called it Kiku Fuji. It was a big mistake. My leg cannot yet be moved by muscular pain.

There are two mountain-climbing courses. It is a course reached from Hiraodai, and a course reached from Nuki area. Before, I have reached from Hiraodai, in order to see sunrise on New Year's Day. Every day, Mt. Nuki can be seen from the window of our house. I regarded 712 m as low. I said to the wife, "A bicycle is shouldered and I reach it."

I filled the spare T-shirt, Fleece jacket, a legless chair, rainproof jacket, and a snack in the rucksack. My equipment is cotton mountain hat, cotton T-shirt, stretch pants of corduroy, cotton socks, polarized sunglass with a lens, and crocs sandals.

Last day, we went swim and day camp in Yamaguchi beach. The evening glow of the day was able to be burned on deep blue and the shining orange....
It was most beautiful sunset in this summer I think.

Local Shopping Street in Yahata

We went Gion machi Shopping Street in Yahatahigashi, Kitakyushu City Fukuoka Japan today. This photo taken by my wife. We like this shabby chic sign board. This sign board written by Japanese "Bread and Milk". Like this local sad shopping street will became die... We must save and keep like this shopping street from big shopping mall. Big shopping mall also we like but no more Japan made. This street have many Japan original made something. Almost store finished business already in this street. You can find some shabby and antique or vintage view or products or peoples. Almost owner and seller also old people any store. They sale old stock products for reasonable price.
